One day training programme on “Implementation of e-procurement and e-office” was organized for nodal officers, officers and other faculty of UAS, Dharwad on14.07.2020, to learn the procedures involved for floating the tenders for work, goods, services and pre-qualification and maintenance of files through online mode. Dr. M. B. Chetti, Team Leader & Hon’ble Vice Chancellorgave the presidential remarks and highlighted the importance of implementation e-office and also detailed about the progress made so far with regards to e-Office implementation at UAS, Dharwad
Mr. Veeresh Gangammanavar, the trainer & supporting Engineer (e-procurement), Dharwad was invited to provide his expert guidance on this topic. He explained about the different steps involved in registration of e-tender. He demonstrated the steps involved in floating tenders for works, goods, services and pre-qualification. He also suggested to take hands-on-training for implementation of e-procurement from e-Procurement Office, Dharwad. The practical difficulties during the tendering process were discussed by the participants and Mr. Gangammanavar provided information regarding the challenges faced during the registration of tenders.
Mr. ManjunathRonad, Master trainer e-Office, Center of e-Governance, Bangalore, explained the need and importance of implementation of e-Office and also highlighted the importance of e-management to enhance the efficiency of the institutes. He demonstrated the working model for different offices of the institute. He shared the user manual for practicing the e-Office procedures and discussed the steps involved in e-Office implementation. Dr. K. V Ashalatha organised the training programme and acted as moderator and Dr. BalachandraNaik gave vote of thanks. Total 47 members including 21 female participants took training during this training programme.
