Augmenting Quality and Relevance of Higher Agricultural Education through Enhanced Learning Outcome and Entrepreneurship Development

Communication is a process that is dynamic, continuous and reciprocal in nature. It has become indispensable today. Human activity will come to a standstill if there is no communication. All human transactions become possible only through communication. Effective communication is at the heart of great relationships, be it at home or at work. Especially in today’s globalized economy, effective communication is vital to the success and survival of any organization. It is also a bridge between confusion and clarity. The art of communication is the language of leadership. Mastering this skill is essential for the success of both our personal and professional life as it provides us with many opportunities that we would otherwise not have.

A National webinar on “Fine Art of Communication” was organized to the students and faculty of UAS, Dharwad on 05.09.2020 to understand the need of effective communication skills towards better life. The Vice Chancellor UAS Dharwad Dr. M.B.Chetti introduced the guest and also highlighted the importance of “Teachers day” which is used to be celebrated in the name of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan former president of India.

The participants of the webinar were addressed by Dr. B. M. Hegde, renowned Cardiologist, Professional Educator and Author. Communication plays a very important role in every step of life. The  ability to  communicate strongly  in the  mental, emotional,  and behavioural areas  play an important  role  in  providing  students  with  knowledge  and  skills. Successful  communication  will  provide  positive  contributions  to  the  freedom  and  self-confidence  of  students  in  showing  their  abilities. Further, he also addressed the participants about the role of teachers in moulding the future of students. He gave some useful suggestions in preventing  present pandemic COVID-19 and stressed on boosting the immune system. The programme was organised by Dr. K. V. Ashalatha and Dr. P. U. Krishnaraj proposed vote of thanks. Total 230 were participated in the webinar.
