Augmenting Quality and Relevance of Higher Agricultural Education through Enhanced Learning Outcome and Entrepreneurship Development

The orientation workshop on “Cognitive Test for International training under Institutional Development Plan (IDP) and Expression of Interest (EOI)” was organized at main Campus on 04-01-2020. The opening remarks about the international training to students under IDP programme were made by Dr. P. U. Krishnaraj, PI, IDP.  Dr. K. V. Ashalatha, Professor & Nodal Officer- academic activities (International) explained the students on various aspects of the IDP programme, mode of selection of the students for the International training and in detail about Cognitive Test.

Mock group discussions and presentation from the students were also made during the orientation program. Nodal Officers Dr. Jahagirdar (International), Dr. Aravind Kumar (Finance), Dr. S. S. Dolli (Social Safeguards), Dr. Jyoti Vastrad (Environmental Safeguards),  Dr. Kambrekar, and few other faculty members also attended the sensitization programme. The workshop was attended by 210 students of III year B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture, Agri. marketing,  C. Sc and Food Tech.

The “Cognitive Test for International training” was conducted at main Campus for eligible III year students from different centers of IDP (Dharwad, Sirsi, Vijayapur and Hanumanamatti) on 12-01-2020 at 08.15 AM. Connect Services, Dharwad conducted cognitive test assessment inclusive of personality test, presentation skills test, and writing and analytical tests to the eligible students. The registration, exam arrangements, logistics and food facilities were made by various committees of IDP team. 274 students were present in the cognitive test.
